We are thrilled to introduce Dr. Irfan Rahim, a dedicated and compassionate pediatrician who has joined our team at Mainstreet Pediatrics. Dr. Rahim brings a wealth of experience and a genuine love for caring for children, ensuring every visit is a positive and reassuring experience for both kids and parents.
Education and Training: Dr Rahim completed his medical degree at Quaid e Azam Medical College and further honed his expertise with a residency in pediatrics at Metropolitan Hospital affiliated with New York Medical College in Manhattan, New York. He is board certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Experience: With over 30 years of experience in pediatrics, Dr Rahim has worked in various health care settings and is well equipped to handle a wide range of pediatric conditions and concerns. He has been working for Childrens of Alabama in their Pell City clinic for the last 24 years, which makes him a multi-generational pediatrician. Special Interest: Dr Rahim has special interests in behavioral health, asthma, adolescent medicine, and childhood nutrition. He is passionate about preventative care and educating families, emphasizing open communication about healthy lifestyle choices. Personal Interest: When not at the office, Dr Rahim enjoys spending time with family, outdoor activities, sports, and reading. He has a wife and three children all living in Alabama. She received her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from Rawalpindi Medical College in Pakistan and completed her pediatric residency training at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. She is board certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
After practicing in Mississippi and Georgia, she moved to Alabama in 2017 and worked with Childrens of Alabama for 7 years. She has taught medical students and mid-level providers across colleges in the Southern United States.
She brings 25 plus years of experience and a passion for preventative care and mental and physical health from infancy to young adulthood. She also has a passion for promoting literacy starting at an early age. She has promoted that passion thru our Reach and Read Program.
Dr. Malik enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
